Our Crest. The NCC Badge consists of a shield, with the symbol of the sun in the background. Ten golden beams radiate from the sun, symbolizing the formation of our new country. Surrounding this sun is a blue ring, with the words, National Cadet Corps. Another 122 golden beams radiate outwards ending at the edge of the shield, symbolizing unity and strength. Below the shield is a banner inscribed with the word Singapore. In the foreground is the lion, symbolizing Bravery, Courage and Strength of the youths of Singapore . The sword held by the Lion symbolizes the Defence of our country. Sitting on top of the Badge, is the State Crest. This symbolizes the fact that the National Cadet Corps is a National Body, formed by the Government of Singapore to serve the Nation's youth. |

From: SCLT Siti Hajar To: PDS 5th and 6th Intake Congratulations to those who have make it through this year PDS 6th intake. You cadets have persevere and endure the many hard training in order to make this performance a success. Thank you. I hope that during the past trainings, you have learn more about yourself, your mates, and the importance of teamwork, discipline and the meaning of the phrase 'hardwork comes with practice'. Apply this to your life outside of PDS NCC, be it in your studies or daily home routine. Example, if you hate maths so much, then try to remember the time when you first hate the rifle for it was heavy and the weight of it makes your arms ache for DAYS. Yet, you rotate it, learn it, study the moves and practice it with your friends. In the end, what do you get as a person? A final product that you once think you could never ever do it. And what do you get as a team? A new friend forge and the feeling of knowing the he / she is there whenever you need help. I believe there are many things which you have learn other than those mention above. Take the positives ones and show others how high your self-esteem has become before you first step into PDS. For the negatives feedbacks, be open and accept how others are feeling towards you. They are telling you the problem and situation they are having with you is because they care. We have read your feedbacks and many of you would like to compliments the following people for their hard work: PTE Sarah: Impressive drills stunts despite being a new member. To SSG Ahmad and SSG Khudaifi: Thank you for teaching your mates on the drills stunts. To SSG Ahmad, SSG Khudaifi, CPL Alvin and PTE Sarah: Congratulations on being able to perform the new stunts. Your squad mates do realise that it is the hardest and does require alot of work. 10:57:00 PM
